I am Xochitl Segura (pronounced like Sochi, Russia). I landed in web development after I wasn’t satisfied with computer science. I wanted to do front end development and computer science helped me improve my web development skills by teaching me back end development. I quickly learned that one needs to be creative to be a developer, whether it’s by design or problem solving. I had both of those skills coming into front end development and learned more as time went by. Design is something I love because I believe it creates a bridge between different cultures and languages. With that, a boy smiling is the same in all cultures and by using universal design skills you could impact everyone and not just a specific audience.
